5-30-11 found me driving to George Washington National Forest in Virginia where I stayed at the first Civilian Conservation Core Camp. The CCC was established by Roosevelt in 1933 during the great depression to give work to poor young men so they could send money back home to their familes, Camp Roosevelt was the first CCC camp.
