Idle air control valve, more carpet gutting, and ZOMBIES.

Today I replaced the idle air control valve in Bones. She doesn't idle rough anymore, she actually runs like she has never been in a collision. I also ripped a bit more carpet out, and Aaron helped me get some of the hundreds of screws out.

Later we went downtown to zombiefest, and out for dinner. It was way fun.

Parts from the demolished front end residing under Aaron's van, Grumpy.

She runs great. Just a wee bit cold.

Then we went downtown, tons of fun.

What is your plan to do with bathroom you are going to put in your tiger? Will it be in same place as old one used to be?

Reason I ask is I am toying with idea of remodeling interior of my XL and making a wider bed where bathroom currently is and moving bathroom where I don't know.

  2. My plan is to redo the bathroom just like stock utilizing the same space intended for it. I will be removing my 7 gallon black water tank and replacing the toilet with a cassette toilet thus eliminating the need for a black water tank, hose, and roof vent. So when I have them make my roof, it will be made sans black water vent. I will be cutting an access door behind the ladder to remove the cassette toilets built in black water tank.It will still be a wet bath like intended. The reason for this is because the black and gray tanks are connected, I want to eventually be able to recycle my gray water but there is backwash into the gray water tank from the black, thus contaminating it highly.

For the bench seating area I plan on removing my wall mounted A/C and patching that hole, it will be relocated up in the new fiberglass roof on a perch inside a cabinet with a vent over the rear. I also plan to remove the part of the bench seating closest to the door so the bench seating is just an L shaped sitting area. Where the old part of the bench used to be I plan to add drawer storage and a place for a TV on a swivel.

The rest will stay the same, but I plan to totally gut the interior all the way down to the stock Astro floor, and replace the wood floor extensions around the perimeter with a special kind of plywood bonded with plastic glue, making it nearly impossible to rot. The rest will be pressure treated pine and luan, with a good stain.

I'm having Provan make my roof vent with just the windows, no cargo rack or rails, no roof vent. I'll have one full size vent center, and a smaller half vent over the bathroom.
